Lol, I honestly don't get what would pressure people to respond to that.
Even if you had won money, apparently someone in your family is trying to claim it for themselves by acting as proxy for you and then not telling you about it, why not just let it sit by never responding anyways? Who's loss? The banks? How would you even be liable if someone else that claimed to know you (who didn't have your identity to implicate you, I might add) took the money and ran?
I swear, the more and more "clever" they try to be, the less and less clever they actually are.

Got a real beaut today.
Usually, scams are poorly written. Not this one. Spelling, punctuation, grammar were all perfect. Three large paragraphs.
Email was supposedly sent from a USA military Sgt who happened to come across a buried 18 million dollar stash while serving in the Middle East and needed help to get the money transferred to the USA.
Can't make this stuff up if you wanted to.
