Looking for Mach 1 info...

My husband is looking at buying an '03 Mach 1. It was mentioned to me by the person who did my Stage 1 instal that there are some serious concerns with born on dates prior to 1/03. Does anyone know where I can find out what that is all about - or if someone here knows? I can't seem to reach the original source - gone for the holidays I guess?

I think we found one that's a 9/03 so it won't apply, but we are still curious.

If you can get a specific VIN, the OASIS system will give you a build date. Isn't there a Mach1 dot com somewhere? Oh yeah, try here...http://forums.stangnet.com/

Well, HE got the one he wanted. Born on is 4/03 so no problem there. I get to take it for a spin later.

We'll try and get pictures of our "children"posted soon.

I did see that production is low, they only planned to build 6,500 for the '03 model

And thats how much Ford made for the 2003 model but a couple of Ford execs say they might make about 1,000 more for the 2004 year. After that no word on if the 2005 new Stang well have a Mach I model or not but if it does go through expect around 325/375 HP And the Cobra lets just say that the current Z06 Vette well have its hands well full.;) Can you say 400+ HP
