My first vehicle was a 95. It was a tough truck. That thing has to be a dog with those tall tires on it. Good luck

I had a '97, the sporty one (forget what they called it) with all the options. Unfortunately, it was a lemon and I traded it in with only 6000 miles.

Might have been the Splash.

I had a '96 with well over 100K on the clock and an '01 with about 60K on it when I traded it in, both of mine were excellent vehicles. Sounds like you did get a lemon, Rangers are generally very reliable.

I had a 04 ranger with every option. I put 60k on it with out a single problem. I towed what ever I could throw on the trailer. It was a good truck I miss it.

I parted out an '88 Turbo T-Bird a few years ago.
I've got the exhaust manifold and the turbo around somewhere in a box.
I think that I also have the engine wiring harness.
(I'm keeping the intake manifold, as I've already had it cut, rotated 90 degrees and fully ported to match my Esslinger aluminum head....:D)

I had a 99 lowered with all Roush suspension. And every bolt on known to man. Next step was a 5.0 swap but got the marauder instead. That'd be an awesome truck to swap a 5.0 in. =)

I think it was the STX version. It had a fuel problem (6 mpg) that they could not figure out, vibration issues, electrical gremlins (airbag light, chimes going off for no reason) and it leaked. I should have just gotten a different one under the lemon law.

Wow! For sure! I regularly got 27-28 mpg on road driving on mine, and zero mechanical/electrical issues, you definitely got aa bad one.

Dave throw in a 5.0, even a mildly worked 302 makes it a fun truck to drive.
