One of the best tool investments I have made. Removing and re-installing the belt by myself (no helpers) went from tedious and difficult to a piece of cake.

thanks to this tool and my carry around toolbox i have been able to change my belt on the side of the road instead of paying for a tow.:D

Why is this tool not part of the kits? I remember your own car throwing belts in your driveway way back when at your Marauderville 3A meet at your shop. Took your guys a couple hours of tearing stuff out to fix it. Dennis

You can also use a rope or a monkey wrench. The tool is not a must, just makes it easier if you do not have a rope or monkey wrench.

Dennis Vortech does not include it in any of there kits, neither does Pro Charger and I was the one that came up with the idea to have it made and I do offer it to my customers and they gladly buy it as well as a lot of Mustang owners. It takes about 30 minutes to change a belt now.

(I work with tools all day and I try to stay away from them as much as possible) when you can spend a couple of bucks and get the real deal tool.

Some of the tensioners will not work with the tool. Rope works fine. The tool is better than rope.

(I was responding as to why the tool is not included in the Kit. Reason the tool is not required to install the kit or replace the belt. The tool just makes it easier. If the tool were required to install the kit or replace the belt then the kit would include it.)

Thanks for explaining it ..for me and others as I am sure..cause I was wondering myself......and for DR for not having to-although he should have....

+1 If you use this tool and have to replace your tensioner, make sure you get the same one! I had a GoodYear tensioner on my car and needed to go back to the OEM Ford to use this tool.

Dennis thank-you for the tool, it works terrific.
