I don't know if this is a good deal or not. I found a new set of F & R
Eibach Pro Kit #3596.120 for $217.95 + shipping, do you think this is
a good deal, in light of the fact that I have not been able to find them
anywhere eles. In other words if you wanted a set would you pay that much
I don't know what they sell for in the first place.
Please LMK if you would pay this or do you think they are over charging?
What do they normally cost when they were availble?
Thanks
Russell

Front sprigs only for MM, were $145, but since they aren't made any longer, I guess they are worth what someone will pay for them. Myself, I looked for them for several weeks, to no avail, then chose to just cut a coil.

Yeah I would pay that. Like said no longer avail from eibach. with the right shocks it gives you a better ride and feel then cut coils.

The guy I found has a business he is closing. Told me he would sell me the entire inventory as a Lot.
He said He would ship to one address only as the bank is ready to forclose on him, and he needs to move them before they close him up.
I would guess he is trying to move what he can before they lock the door on him.
What to do. I want a set. and I see others want a set but I really don't want to be
left holding all this product. LMK if interested. I need a count.
Thanks
Russell

I'd take a set. Would it be a discounted price for a group buy? As aposed to the 217 your paying for one set?

That is a good price for a set. If anyone is interested, I ordered a set of front springs from eaton spring co. They offer stock, 1 1/4" drop and 1 1/2" drop.

springs for my self. This guy dictated the terms by which I could get them. I have not found them anywhere eles. He is charging me 40 to ship so that is what you be well charged to anywhere in lower 48, I just want the springs period
Thanks guys to those that ordered and those that my order.
There may be some for a little less but I know Eibach, I used them on my Impala SS,
My Cadillac, and now I'll be using them on my MM. This is a tried and true product.

You are paying what I am paying. Please read some of my earlier posts.
That should give you the answer you are looking for.
I wish they were less, I have been looking for well over a few months now.
Last night I was talking to a friend, who isn't even a MM member. He told me about this guy getting forclosed on. We buy Cadillac STSV
Parts from him. So I called and he had some NOS stock and told me he would sell me all he had as a LOT and ship them to one address only..
I think the bank and the Sheriff will be at his door soon. That is the word I got.
He is a nice guy, but business is not as good as he would have liked.
That's it J.bo. I have about few sets left. I will be keeping two for myself. I have one MM and am looking at another DTR. Thank you for writing. Best to all.

I will PM you with details, although they are already posted.

Just be sure to change your shocks out too. There are threads on here where the OEM dampers didn't last long after the change. I know these are totally different cars, but when I lowered my ZX3 I went the 1 1/4" drop and it was perfect for handling. My OEM dampers lasted about 6 months after the spring change. That was 10 years ago during the slammed look is cool period. Yuk, hated that look.

Thanks Ray Jay,
For the heads up. I will keep this in mind

Don't forget you will all need to get an alignmet after the spring swap. Many have used carfixer specs.

Burt and RayJay,
Thank you, I have heard about Carfixer alignment specs, so I booked marked it.
I am so pleased that I came accross this Eibach spring deal. I was very happy to
contribute to our communities well being. I always hope to make a difference.

Yesterday I got word from my contact in Vermont that the Sheriff and Bank
padlocked and posted a forclosure on the front door of this business.
I guess this guy was trying to get in under the wire, but didn't make it.
I am so sorry to have to announce that this purchase is not going to happen.
I am not pleased with this turn of events. I had counted, as did you, that we would be getting a set of springs that are NOS. I guess not.
I will be going to Vermont during the Sheriff auction to see if I can buy these spring if they hold an auction.
Damnit this could have been a great deal for us all.
For those that sent me a Money order I will returnn your MO plus a small
Check for your costs involvement in getting the MO and for postage.
I would think around $5.00 should cover the costs.
I feel real bad about this whole thing. But I will try to make it right by at
least returning your money and costs.
I am truly sorry this has taken place.
Some how I thought it was too good to be true. But as they say Sh// happens. I hope everyone understands. Please forgive me for counting on
someone eles word. I except fully responsibility for this, and will as I said
bofore make good on the money aspect of this transaction.
Thank for your understanding.
With all due respect

I just ordered the Eibachs from here: http://www.performancealley.com/product/Eibach-Lowering-Springs/Default.aspx?gfid=p1309-c113097 (edit: Just saw a $15 coupon on that site that I missed.. dammit!)

$135 and free shipping. We'll see if they show up. The website got all positive reviews on Google shopping. Maybe they had a some NOS of the springs.

I also ordered 4 new OEM Tokicos from www.fastpartsnetwork.com for around $420. I plan on installing the springs on the front struts before I take everything apart to do the work, so it's all sitting there ready to swap out and in.

Performance Alley doesn't have the EPK in stock. I had to report them to PayPal dispute resolution to get my money back. Your best bet is to join the GB that Dennis is putting together.

Also, (speaking from experience) the EBKs doint match up well with the OEM Tokikos. There is way too much rebound (bouncy). I saw huge improvements in ride quality when I switched to KYB Gas-A-Just shocks.

Thanks for the info.

Just curious, how long ago did you try to buy from their eBay store?

ReefBlueCoupe

Nevermind.. moot point. Just called and they don't have them. I don't know why companies don't remove these off their websites. The guy I talked to said they get people calling every day for them. Order canceled.

I'll check out the group buy thread.

Yeah, its frusterating. There are a number of online vendors who have not removed them from their sites. Hope the GB gets you what you need.
