Wouldn't start

The "full" details now that I have time. Sunday, after leaving a resturant for dinner, BLUE wouldn't start. First crank floundered, then wouldn't even hit....cranked, but nothing. Felt as though it was the fuel pump as it seemed "starved" on the first crank then ran out.

Got a ride home then the weather alert went off for "ping-pong ball sized hail". Oh SNAP !!:eek: Went up the resturant (now closed) still wearing my black shirt and black pants (black shoes), but now with a crowbar and flashlight (and realizing the cops would have fun with that one) to get under it and tap the silly thing in hopes of coaxing some life into her to get her home. Nothing.

Manager of the resturant came out, I got underneath when he turned the key and heard nothing......yup, pump not coming to life.
My buddy with the flatbed wasn't answering, so he got a couple of busboys from the resturant and we pushed her under the bank carport next door. *PHEW*

Went to pick up the next day, VROOOOM. fired right up. Took her to a shop and awaited the repair bill raping.

Then something REALLY AMAZING HAPPENED. Zack called me and invited me to bring her by. He had apparently read the post I made about her not starting. Because she didn't start at first, I didn't even consider calling him. I called the shop and they hadn't even looked at it (6 hours later). I picked her up and a couple of hours later Zack had a new pump in and saved me from a whoping repair bill. How can you not admire that? He called me and saved me a chunk.

It's really great when something incredibly great happens, thanks to the first friend I ever made on this board. I am glad I joined this site and am thank-ful for friends that offer to help. :2thumbs:
