Today was an exciting day! It was my wife's birthday, and I took her to meet a legend, at least for us Ford and Mustang fans.
I had an appointment already today to attend a clean fuels meeting in downtown Houston. Part of the deal was that I was picking up a fleet demo Roush propane powered F250 SuperDuty. It's going to be a demo in the Houston area for the next couple of months, and I was the first one to get it. I'll have it for a week and then pass it on to another agency. After picking up the truck, I talked to my wife and told her about an email I'd gotten earlier.
Jack Roush was going to be in town tonight signing autographs at a local Ford dealer.
I was surprised that she said she'd like to go, since it was her birthday, but we took off. This particular dealer is on the other side of town from us, about 45 minutes away.
We got there and got to meet Jack and get his autographs. He signed posters for all of us, a shirt for my wife, the logbook of the truck, and he even signed the dashof the truck! He's a trooper. It was 9pm and he was still going strong.
All in all, a pretty cool day today!
