Had a tech at Central Florida lincoln align my car today. He actually unbolted and adjusted the k-member. He said it looks like they messed up in the factory. Now that the k-member is adjusted my car can finaly be set to carfixers' specs!:banana2::banana :

Great Ron, maybe your tires will last more than 20K now.

Yeah I didn't know that there was any possibility of adjustment there. I was surprised as hell to see the tech wrenching from the top side of the car! He showed me where he marked it before he moved it and it was at least 1/2" on the passenger side.
I'm hoping my tires last well beyond 20k now!

What is the K Member ?
The "K" member is the large assembly under the car the the engine and front suspension are attached to.

Now that I have the car set top carfixer specs I don't like it. Is it possible to cheat the machine? Can the tech make it look like he hit the numbers but in reality the car is not properly aligned? The car doesn't pull but it feels unstable on the highway and doesn't seem to track. It's also upset when going over uneven pavement. I'm not too happy right now.

sounds like too much negative caster. Some alignment machines have "frozen caster", meaning you have to do a sweep each time to update the current caster angle. The tech may not have done a final sweep to get the correct caster readings when he printed out your final specs.
EDIT..
also, if your tires are already worn from the previous alignment the handling can sometimes feel "off" once the alignment has been changed.

The tires were worn and that may be the issue. I checked the toe old school way and it looked within 1/8th inch. As the tires wear some more will it get better?

Does anyone think that the Carfixers Spec. will work with a car lowered car, using Eibach and KYB's.
Has anyone lowered thier car and used the specs?
I have the springs and shocks and want to lower my MM. Is there any adjustment to the specs that might take into consideration the lowering aspects
Thanks.

The specs will still work.
Lower the front end will change the geometry of the front end.
The main thing to remember is to get the front end aligned after doing any front end work.

I would guess that would include the "Flag and that other piece that needs to be removed" in order to meet Carfixer specs, and still you are unable to meet the specs,
right?
Thanks

My car has cut springs and refuses to get into specs.

I removed the flags and also filed the slots in the k-member so the camber bolt can turn 360 degrees and just barely get there. SPC suspension said they are working on a solution for camber for the 03 up panthers but they plan to use some kind of camber kit for the lower control arm. I don't think it can be done because the lower arm also sets the caster and caster will end up much too high.
