How many of you have trailer hitches on your Marauders? I ask because I saw a Marauder yesterday with plates from like Iowa or something and it struck me as odd. Then I realized the car had a hitch on it. Two very friendly older ladies were driving the car and having fun. But that seems as bad as putting a hitch on my old Grand National....
Whatch'all think?

Hmmm, a couple of Sea-Doos might be nice. A travel trailer? maybe not so nice. My .02

You know that's what I thought too, so after I swapped my jeep in for the MM, I went and got a full size 89 Jimmy. That does all the hauling!

a few members here have one..and some have the offical mercury one too. hey, the mm can pull like 5000 lbs..i heard it was lowered to 2000 just so it doesnt compete with ford's trucks.

Don't need one. My 4X4 Ford truck came with the towing package (and hitch). :)

Well hopefully they do not pull thier camper.... But really my MM is my only car, so if I needed to tow something.....NAW Could not do it. Would rent a truck. But this is America so IMHO whatever You want to do ....

I have actually considered a hide away hitch with a 2"receiver to put one of those cargo gates on. Might come in handy for bringing the widened drag radials to events without having to put 'road milage' on them.

Suppose you are right, but the poor MM...... What did it ever do to deserve having a hitch put on. Is $24 a day (truck rental) really that bad? Home depot delivers a bunch of stuff for free....

I guess seeing the hitches on performance cars here in the states still takes me aback, although when I lived in Scotland, it wasn't an uncommon thing. But they don't have so many trucks and SUVs...
