I'm getting a JLT. Is there a bigger tb that would help n/a mm. If so would a JLT fit a bigger tb

Stick with the stock tb and just install the JLT.

Nope!!! BUT, if you can get a bigger TB for $35 like I did.... :D Otherwise, it's not going to make a difference. I know because I went from the stock tb to a dual 65mm, port matched the intake plenum and it ONLY increased throttle response, that's it.

the bigger throttle body shines when you force more air thru them, ie forced induction! if there was a gain to be had n/a i would already have one.

^^^^^ What they said. ^^^^^^

Not much bang for the buck unless you're S/C'd.

1. Canned Tune
2. 4.10 gears
3. CAI
4. Exhaust
5. Dyno tune

Then start saving bucks for a blower, 'cause once that mod bug bites, you're hooked.

u need a single blade for the eaton swap this one is the twin blade

thats incorrect! you can use a dual, or single blade!

Since we are talking about single and dual blade tb's.
Does anyone have a single blade installed in a mm without an eaton swap?

i thought about it, but you would need to remove a lot of material from the stock intake to clear the single blade

With the JLT intake, the Accufab T/B and a dyno re-tune (the car had been tuned w/stock air cleaner and T/B) I picked up 15 peak RWHP but what was more important was I picked up close to 20 RWHP lower in the curve and flatened out the curve above 5500 rpm where the hp dropped significantly w/stock intake.

So yes, with a proper tune, there is a clear gain to replacing the OEM T/B

when you replace more than one item at a time its hard to say which one helped vs the other, i would bet your h.p. increase came from your jlt, and retune

I thought there was an issue with the single butterfly bar (for lack of a better word) sagging that caused the big blade to stick.

Not when compared to the JLT by itself.

The last tune was with both - big gain in lower end from T/B - above 5500 RPM from the JLT. More gain in peak HP from JLT.

accufab had that problem early on ,but it was corrected by using a different material for the butterfly bar
