Here's the new window tint on my Tahoe. 35% on front doors, 5% limo tint on remainder of vehicle.

You can see out of the 5%, but you can't see in at all, even on the sunniest brightest day of the year. Opinions?

Love it. Not legal here. There?

In Virginia, an SUV can have anything behind the front two doors. You can do a total blackout if you want to. 50% is legal on the front windows, unless you have a medical waiver for 35%, which I do have.

"Multipurpose passenger vehicle" means any motor vehicle that is (i) designed to carry no more than 10 persons and (ii) constructed either on a truck chassis or with special features for occasional off-road use;

Our SUV units came tinted from the factory. (Chrysler) I hated it, could not see out the back at night even before we put a prisoner barrier in. As stated above I'd have to check the legality here too. As a retired LEO I can say I disliked tint period. I automatically looked for criminal activity when I saw a vehicle with heavily tinted windows.

For cars ours is 35% front and back. Or 35 rear, 50 front. Below 30 rear, no front allowed.
MPV's are allowed more. Why the prejudice against cars? Makes no sense to me.

...then 5% over the factory tint....

Same on my Tahoe. Brings it down to maybe 1% or less.

This is why you can't see in the back windows at all. :D

In Vermont only factory tint is allowed for windshield and driver/passenger windows.
Anything goes behind driver.

Your tints makes it look sharp. I think legal in florida is 35 fronts and 15 on the rears. I have limo on four doors and rear window. I used to have a uv shield,like clear tint on the windshield but I took it off and put 30 on it. Besides, who wants to drive around like the pope in a fishbowl with a suntan. It is hot in florida. Police really don't bother with the tint down here.

Cool! I was wonder what this would look like because I would have to do it that way here in this city... or so I thought. Now I am hearing no tints at all in the first row if you live here. State law differs from City.
