I saw that car at a car show in Lufkin last weekend. Stuck my head in the window and smelled in the newness! Then it shows up on ebay the next day. Bidding went up to $98K, and then the ad was pulled. It was a sweet car, but I think I want something that I could drive. I would've put it up for sale too. He's a lucky mofo.
BTW, he did win an award at the car show.

"This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available."
Correct.

Someone must have made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

I couldn't agree more!
If you are a car guy who likes and wants to drive your cars hard, sell it to the 'hermetically sealed trailor' car collector for a BUNDLE of $$$ and go buy another BOSS 302.
Now you have a payed off BOSS 302 with lots of spare gas, insurance, tire and race track money!

Was at the AER show here in Addison (a Dallas suburb) and there were a three new Boss Mustangs there and I noticed one, a Laguna Seca, had manufacturer plates. The "owner" was some 30-ish dude and I started talking to him figuring he was a factory rep (I was right). I complimented him on the Boss and we were chatting about the car. It was nice to meet a factory guy who seemed to really know his car. I brought up I drove a Marauder and he got a curious look on his face and asked me what I thought of it and was it fast? I told him I liked it and that I considered it a fast car for a car that size and added that I believed the handling was really the best part of the car. Again he was interested and then I let him go so he could talk with all the other folks there. Bunches of Mustangs there at the show but glad I ran into James 79stang and Maury there, both showing their Marauders. Maury has good luck there, he won a new crate motor there a few years back. The new Bosses look nice but my only niggle was the colors are a little rough to my eyes.

The BOSS is no joke. I think Ford did a great job on the 5.0 but I think they saved all their tricks for the BOSS. The light valve train and the ability to tune the valves throughout the RPM range is truly a breakthrough for Ford. Not only that, if im not mistaken the bottom end is forged and the intake is designed for high RPM breathing without comepromising low end torque. I wouldnt be surprised if they engineered the BOSS 5.0 and the reverse engineered the regular 5.0 afterwards. Its only a matter of time before people start putting blowers on them and I think we'll see 700HP with low boost because its so efficient. Now all I need is to win the lottery.

wow - that guy just made $60,000.00 - Here is the link to the Ford site if you haven't seen it. I'd have sold it too, you could buy (2) of them - keep 1 in the bubble wrap and still have $15,000 left for gas, oil and tires...
