When I was stationed in Jacksonville, FL we could see them suckers launch plain as day.

Godsspeed to our astronauts! Though Ive not been a huge fan of manned spaceflight these last couple of decades I hope and pray for a sucessful mission.

I slept out all night with my dad to witness STS-1 Columbia on April 12 '81. When we woke up we witnessed THOUSANDS of others had found there way to the same road we had parked on to watch. It was UNBELIEVABLE the amount of spectators!!
