Short sales are always a waiting game. Given the state of the housing market, and in my talking with some real estate broker friends, you are in a good position. The banks are much more willing to accept, or counter with a very reasonable offer these days. Good luck and I hope you get it!:beer:

True. They were asking almost 700K for the house my wife and I bought. We offered 500K ... they accepted, I almost had a heart attack.

And yes, 500K out here is CHEAP! :argue:

Well because I've had Dom on the ignore list for a year, it doesn't matter. Our realtor, not the selling realtor got back to us and said that the house has a contract on it already, but they didn't tell us till after we made an offer, so our realtor contacted his legal representative, and we'll see where that goes, meantime we're still looking, BTW we offered about 70% of their asking price.
