View Full Version : THIS is why nobody touches my car but me.

Went to the track two weeks ago, and I typically take my headlight out because my intake on my Vortech blown MM is directly behind the driver headlight. Anyhow, a friend of mine offered to put it back in while I was switching the rear tires, and since it looked like rain was coming, I let him.
Fast forward to yesterday, driving home from work. I hear a tiny rattle, followed by the drivers side marker lamp slamming on the hood and fender, hanging by the harness. I was in far left lane, traffic all around, couldnt stop right away. Before I could pull it over, the harness had enough and detached, causing the marker light to fly over the car and smash in a million pieces behind me. The harness and marker lamp need to be replaced. Apparently my buddy forgot to tighten the two horizontal bolts that hold the bracket to the lamp housing. FML. This is why I shouldnt have broken my number one rule.
Anyone have a drivers marker lamp and/or harness for sale?
Friends dont let friends touch their cars.
Thanks.

Mistakes happen, still it sucks, sound like your friend was nice enough to offer to cover the loss.

marker (blinker) not headlight. The marker needs to be loosened to finagle the headlight out. Still got the headlight, need blinker/marker light

My carpenter screws up and ruins materials on my jobs and doesn't apologize ever. I have to cover the cost. Unknown to him, I just don't give him the extra bounus at the end I would normally give him, or the next easy job he expects.
