A friend showed me this pic last night.

As ghetto as everything else is on the car I have to say the 20" SRT-8 wheel does look nice on it.

I've seen these on a Vic before and they do look good, but do your research before going with them. They can work but are not the same exact bolt pattern as our cars. Might run into issues.

I saw 18" Magnum/Charger/300C wheels on a Ranger.

The Charger uses a 5 x 115mm bolt pattern, which is 5 x 4.5inches.

According to all the info I've seen the Marauder also has a 5 x 4.5inch bolt pattern.

there is a 0.7mm difference. Ford is 5 x 114.3...not 115.

i doubt .7mm would make a diff. lug holes are sloppy

For anyone else that doesn't think in metric.

.7mm is about .028"

The 114.3mm patter of a Marauder / Mustang wheel is exactly 4.5"

Would that be enough to cause a problem? Probably not. Am I going to replace my Marauder wheels with ones from a Mopar? Heck no!

Yeah, but when you torque down the lug nuts, as the nut seats into the concentric cone area of the rim,
the lug nuts will start to tweek the studs over into line with the rims different bolt circle.

Not a good thing IMHO.

Another thing I was just thinking. Even though the holes are sloppy, it is the taper of our lug nuts and the hub that center our wheels.

Does the hub of the Charger wheel fit properly and snug or is it sloppy. Would the studs be harmed by being pulled 15 thousandths to the side?

Besides the bolt pattern slop, there's also 1mm of center bore slop.

Not a good thing IMHO.
+1

Several @ CrownVic.net think it's otay and have done it. http://www.gdmjoe.com/nonono.gif

My take is that there's a reason for spec's. Why risk your passengers' and other motorists' safety and lives.
