"The exterior took about a week of non-stop labor to transform from showcar state to Craigslist concours. Beyond just grinding off paint, the team rubbed salt on the open metal to speed rust, repainted and sanded some areas for better colors, and kicked dents into the trim (http://www.lsxtv.com/features/car-reviews/would-you-believe-this-camaro-cost-100k) for that put-away-wet look. The hood is slightly misaligned, the badges are off and the grille's broken."

Now THAT's how to mod a Chebbie... :D

I like it! I know its a chevy, but I like that it is different. And it's not that no one else had the "balls" to do it.....i'm sure it was the $$$$$$.
P.S...Love the Sea Rat stealing the chips on your sig.

I agree about the "rat rod" stuff. Each to their own of course but I just think its old hat. Id much rather look at nice custom paint myself. Yeah, I know its expensive. I remember when I was growing up in the 60's there were all sorts of famous custom cars with beautiful paintsjobs; anybody remember "Lil Coffin?" Closest I came to owning one was having the Revell model. Making a new Camaro look "ratty" is kinda dumb to me.

Typical GM paint quality. It would look like that in 2 years with no effort anyway!

Yep, I was wonderin' what all the chatter was about, looks like a normal Chevy to me...

I'm another that would have been happy if the world had ended, at least for crap rods... I can kinda see building one from mostly old cast off and weather beaten bodies, but to have a high $$$$ custom or crate motor in a pile of junk, is just plain stupid...

Must be nice to blow that kind of money on a p.o.s chevy and make it look worse, just my opinion...:D

+1!

Rat rodding an old pick truck/junker/sedan is cool.

But Effing up a brand new late model car to make it a 'rat rod' is totally stupid and misses the entire concept of a ratrod.

Really looks stupid, and to be honest.....wayyyy too close to some other idiot who has a Camaro that looks like that and it's not supposed to be a ratrod.

This simply proves that some people have too much money and too little brain.
