And I must say I like the way they feel. Definitely thicker in appearance than my old Eibachs and when cpupled with the KYB's they look pretty darn good. The install took longer than expected due to the nuts that attached the spindle to the lower control are filled with plastic that I had to get melted out to get the nut off. After that the install went pretty routine. Just got to get by Ford for those nuts.

what kind of springs did you end up going with?

What is the spring lbs.rate ? Did they give you the same ride height ? How would you compare ride & road feel to old set up ?

I guess it took a minute to respond to this but Burt, the ride is a lot nicer than the Eibach's and factory struts. The spring rate from their website is 265. They were taller than i liked so I cut a full coil from the top and she now sits as low as she did with the Eibach's but rides a lot nicer. If you are in the market to get some new springs, I highly recommend these.

Who makes the new springs you just installed ?
Do you still get the dreaded wheel bounce ?

They stuff I've seen shows the Police/Marauder front spring rate at 330 lb.

Never thought the Marauder front springs were rated as high as 330 lbs.
So that means I & members who have cut a full coil added another 15-20 lbs to the rate. She still feels like I am driving Miss Daisy.

The springs I went with are from Eaton. And I just checked the box I received...the spring rate for the MC5412's that I have is 330 but I cut another full coil to get her to sit like I like so what the rear rate is I don't know. The ride is smoother than Eibachs and she doesn't bounce nearly as much. She is not Lincoln Town car smooth but for the Beast...I like it.

Eaton does make a good product... however, the ones I installed on my crown vic I had to cut one coil out of... even though they advertised a 1-1/2 inch drop. Higher spring rate was the reason.

Found that out too.
