Good Morning,

I have been considering placing a small square thin blue line decal on the right side of my rear fascia to show support for fallen officers, seeing how this has been such a bad year for them. My father is retired LEO and my uncle is active LEO. A few years ago my uncle lost his partner in a drug raid and since then I have been even more so wanting to support them.

I found a thin blue line decal on the ODMP page that would work well, but want other LEO opinion before doing so. I am not LEO (security but not a police officer, working on it) and want to know what you think about it. I don't want to offend active LEO by making them think I am saying I am one of them...just trying to show support.

And before you say just make a donation, I already do, just trying to bring attention to what they give for us.

Every year my wife and I donate to our city's police relief association. We get a window decal that goes in the back window of my marauder. I'm not a leo, but, I believe in the funds principals and proudly display it so maybe others will donate also.

RacerX - That is my goal as well, to educate others about the need to support our officers in any way possible.

ive been on the job for 12 years now, and when i see those decals i think its a nice way to show your support, i dont think in any way you would be saying your a leo, but simply that you support law enforcement.

As long as it looks like the below image, I see no problem, originally when TBL products were offered, you had to have them shipped to your station and had to provide ID to purchase them.

In this area, where LEO's were taking shots and vandalism because of FOP plates/emblems, we went this route as an identifier, when I see one, I generally assume that they are LEO, of course, this is just my opinion, you can do as you please.

After looking around FrontLine's site, it is apparent that you still need a Valid police ID to purchase the restricted items..........

A new provider of decals for the very above reasons, I love their explanation....

You could always just support the national law enforcement memorial in Washington instead of maybe getting yourself jammed up on some MM unlawful display charge.

As an active LEO I have decals on the back window of the MM. I think that if you truely support fallen officers and their families then go ahead. If you're putting them on your car because you think that it will get you out of a ticket I believe that's disrespect. It sounds like you have a valid respect for those who've given their lives to protect others and I'd say go ahead seeing you have family in law enforcement. I believe in the freedoms this country has and if you want to show your support by all means show it.

I still laugh every time I think about that, you really had to be there to get the full "benefit."
