I have had my silver '04 for two months and think it is a great car. i have not found any flaws in the paint and it is easy to keep looking good. A great road car.

Good decision to give up your current sedan for the MM. You will love it. I own a black 03 and since I like to keep the paint as close to perfect as possible, I don't care whether it is black or silver or DTR.

Whatever color you choose, you will love the car.

Silver is easier to keep clean but black looks baddest when clean.

I have a silver '04 in similarly dusty San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. I also have a silver Corvette. IN both case, silver metallic has proven to be exceptionally easy to keep looking clean. I wash it every week and keep dust at bay with a California Duster twice a day. Even after a rainstrom the car looks cleaner than it is. The silver paint is also flawless on every silver Marauder I've seen. So, I recommend it.

I didn't expect to like silver, had intended to buy black. I don't think the color works best on large cars. But on the Marauder it actually emphasizes the visual presence of the car's contours compared to a solid black or dark red. The blue color in '03 had this quality to. I've come to the conclusion that the Marauder looks best -- but not baddest -- in silver.

I have had my Silver 04 for just over a month now. I was going to get the DTR thinking it was close to the red I had on my Thunderbird SC, but wasn't impressed. My brother-in-law has a Silver 03, and even when it was filthy it still looked good. You can't go wrong with this color. It's a very rich color and goes evenly well with the dark charcoal interior. Good luck on your choice what ever it is.

I have to agree, that this is by far one of the best silver paint jobs i've seen. It's just the right tone and color for this vehicle, and there are absolutely no complaints as the paint job is just flawless. I actually would have preferred black, but I have a hectic schedule and wouldn't be able to keep it looking flawless as some people here do.

Although I first wanted BLK, Im glad I got the Silver. after reading so many threads on the bad black paint jobs, I enjoy my Silverstreak...http://smilies.sofrayt.com/1/r/bigstar.gif

Had my silver MM for almost three months now. Didn't consider another color. Paint quality is pretty good too. No complaints on the light flint interior either.

I had a black car or two along the way and really wanted a Marauder when they first came out....But black was OUT!!!!

The car is BEAUTIFUL in black but only for about 33 seconds after a bath!!!

Silver suits me fine as all of my CV's have been silver and the SC Highway Patrol has silver CV's!!!:) People get out of our way!!!:D

With a "kill switch" disabling the taillights on demand, you can outrun cops all night long in a black Marauder. :)

(Damn, it felt good saying that!. Haven't seen a kill switch since the family ran moonshine back in the 60's and 70's! :D )

Had silver on my '98 Ram Air and it was low maintance easy to wash and keep clean and did not show the dirt. But when I bought the Marauder black was the choice for me did not even consider another color. Now after seeing the DTR, well....no, only if there was no other choice or my second choice third would be blue. Sorry no silver cars here, been there done that. Glad you enjoy it and have fun go out and smoke some ricers.

Ah yes the Arizona desert, I so do miss it. From 1968 until 1979 I was out there at least once a year, grandparents lived in Tucson. Then I moved to Tucson in 1980 and left in 1983 to join the Army and have not been back since. Boy do I miss it.....now you went and done it you got me home sick....well home away from home at least. Hold on a second snifle , yes I'm ok just snifle reminiscing snifle :depress: .

I've been looking for a silver 04 in northern Ca. Dealer just called to say that he has located one. I have a black 96 Impala SS and just sold a black 88 Monte Carlo SS and while I agree black looks fantastic, it is a very hard car to live with in the heat. Even waxing is a pain if you don't do it just right. I'm hoping the next time I post will be to say that I HAVE IT.

Black is in a catergory in and of itself.

I like blue on black. The color has a little more emotion IMO, and it's a dark enough blue to be close enough to black.

BTW, I can't wait to get a Marauder. It's gonna be the quickest, and still keep all that comfort. I'm shootin' for a low 10 to low 11 second quater mile time:D. And it'll STILL daily drive like it's stock!

I have 2 red cars and it is time for something different. My change of mind started when I had to repaint my '95 GTS after only four years. I don't have the time to keep up with black, so my only choice left is silver. I had a nice test drive in a silver birch-light flint '04 MM and that one gave me something to shoot for. I just want to see what the moonroof option looks like.
