03 Six Speed project

A local man dropped his 03 off today we will be installing a Tremac six speed. I will as usual post every thing I will be going with a hydraulic clutch Dynotech drive shaft the car already has Kooks and a 410.

I had to order new parts I could not find what I wanted. I do not feel the dash will have to come out I will do the clutch then order the Tremec, and yes I want to do a kit for this.

Very interesting - clutch pedal & linkage kit would be the bomb!
A program patch to turn off the automatic and the rest can be sorted locally.

We are working on this, we are modifying the OEM pedal to accept the clutch pedal and we are using a hydraulic clutch and slave cylinder the main hurdle is the clutch pedal I will post pictures as we move along.

We will be using the Tremic close ratio six speed I will look it up. This car should gain 30 RWHP with this conversion it also has LTH.

I assume it's a Cobra spec trans with the 2.66 1st gear. It'll gain some peak power but a 2.66 1st is pretty darn high for a heavy car; can't see it doing much for the 1/4 mile times. For a PD blown combo the 2.66 would be tolerable but a 2.97 1st would be mucho better for a heavy, no torque, n/a combo.

I am very interested in this project. Several people have talked about it, and perhaps done to varying degrees of success. But I assume most have been one-off, fabricate-as-you-go projects. If this results in a kit, or some kit, and parts list and some here's how you do it, then I could consider doing it or having it done.

The biggest obstacle is the clutch pedal and what I have done is really slick I will be posting pictures next week.

I already have my pedals made for the T56 thanks to my friend Pier from CVN. I figured the hardest part would be the crossmemeber piece. I have all the other materials (clutch, flywheel, yoke, clutch quadrant, etc.) and the project goes underway this winter.

I am home here ins Seymour we had a nice time and it was my 40th class reunion as well, so here is the hydraulic pedal I designed it will work well with the Tremac and I did not have to relocate the EEC. And the brake http://www.mercurymarauder.net/gallery/data/580/medium/installed1.jpg[/URL]

The black hose goes to the brake master cylinder and a hard plastic line goes to the Tremacs salve cylinder we need to fab the cross member which is also very easy, here is the pedal installed. The last picture was with a cell phone I will post better pictures, along with Alans Cobra Conversion and Shauns monster CV nd Larrys will be on the dyno next week. Thanks for all the orders this weekend, even on vacation I still try to help.

The fly wheel came today so will be working on this in the weeks ahead. We are using a hydrolic clutch the pedals fit perfect I even was able to keep the brake pedal adjust intact.

Well it is is in and aligned up, since we are using a hydraulic clutch will not need the fork for the TOB so will install a cover over that area.

The trans is in the pedal is in, what I need to do know is run the line for the hydrolic clutch, and I sent the dynotech drive shaft to Jim and he is installing a 31 spline yoke and shortening the drive shaft, the car is allmost done.

We got the new Mcleoad hydrolic cluth in today, and its installed Billy is working on CPE6 car and me and Michael are working on this it shoule be done in two weeks.
