"Ford has not lost share when GM lost two points of share and Chrysler lost nearly a point and a half of share," said. Mr. Batty. "You will hear more about Ford in 2004 and I am convinced that we will increase our market share."
The most obvious void in Ford's lineup, a mid-sized passenger car, will be filled this year with the Ford Five Hundred, backed by the Ford Freestyle crossover vehicle.
"The car market in Canada is extremely important, about 50% of the sales," said Mr. Batty. "We will see during 2004 a number of new [cars] coming. A new upgraded Focus in spring and an upgraded Escape [small SUV] then the new Five Hundred towards the end of the summer."
Yeee haaa!
