I'm happy to see them win the Stanley Cup. It's been awhile. Wish Ray Bourque could've been part of it. Also, hate to see all the violence in the strreets of Vancouver.

I'm happy to see them win the Stanley Cup. It's been awhile. Wish Ray Bourque could've been part of it. Also, hate to see all the violence in the strreets of Vancouver.

"Angry, drunken fans ran wild Wednesday night after the Vancouver Canuck's' 4-0 loss to Boston in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals, setting cars and garbage cans ablaze, smashing windows, showering giant TV screens with beer bottles and dancing atop overturned vehicles...Later, looters smashed windows and ran inside department stores.

Some seemed to revel in the rampage, recording the vandalism on cell phones and video cameras. A few congratulated those who tried to attack police, and others erupted with cheers every time something was damaged.

A small group of rioters appeared to be at the heart of the action reminiscent of a similar scene that erupted in the city in 1994 following the Canucks' Game 7 loss to the New York Rangers."

Can you say TITLE TOWN!?!?! We got our victories for the Sox, Pats, Celts, and Bruins. Can't say they didn't fight for it. Definitely a heated 7 games. Can't get much past Tim Thomas.

I will refrain from calling them theBoston Ruins now, at least until they pass the Cup to next years winner.

It was over before they ran the desperation move with the open net giving us #4. Buh Bye! :D I'm glad it was a shutout. Imagine if it was a one point game and there were questionable calls? Might have been short a few fans coming home... :(

Yeah, that was a pretty poor reaction. Boo-ing the Bruins the whole time, etc. Hockey is all they have in Vancouver. They have no other sports teams that compete in the leagues, so this was all they had. OH WELL! :D

I guess they feel "entitled" to ransack their own city and burn it down.

I can't really say anything, because our fans of the Red Sox did that in Boston a couple years back. Damn college kids...

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups. That people behave like this after a sporting event is completely and utterly embarrassing. I don't even want to think of who is stuck paying for all of the resulting ******** and I'd be happy to hear if it was the NHL.

Likely didn't help to have 100,000 people outside watching on big screens in the bar district.

I read an article saying so many people with camera's were taking pics of the morons doing the damage. Hopefully the worst offenders will be tracked down, there is no shortage of anger among vancouverites. The age of everyone has a camera might go a long way to ending these idiots fun.

It happens here, too. When the Bulls were winning Championships, the celebratory homicides tripled. So did celebratory pregnancies, so it kind of evened out I guess. Sometimes it's a lose/lose situation when someone wins.

Today these retards riot/burn/pillage their OWN city regardless of whether their team loses or wins.....:dunno:

The Vancouver Police should have been ready for this after seeing similar incidents in other cities.

You guys failed to mention that the rioters were very polite and apologetic whilst rampaging through the streets.:D

Instead of the Vancouver Canucks, If it were the Montreal Canadians that had lost, thus igniting (pun intended) violent rioting, the Montreal Police would have promptly surrendered to the rioters.

At any rate, glad they won. And I can't stand the morons doing all the rioting. Soar losers.

I heard the rioters were actually anarchists and not hockey fans and that they came with the intentions of f***ing s*** up. I hear they had back packs with gasoline and other destructive materials just to cause problems.

I doubt it was sore losers doing the bulk of it and i doubt the fans in the building had much to do with it either.

This article contends it was people coming prepared for action, win or lose. Also see the 'post your pics here for all to identify' sites starting up.

Gotta say it. I think Jacobs is a boob:shake:....... Reminding Cam Neely of his innability to bring the Stanley Cup to Boston when he was a player during his pre parade speech. What an azzhat considering all that Cam has done over the years for the Bruins...
