View Full Version : Water Leak?

ok, just checking on this, went about 50 highway miles, then park and notice major water puddle under passenger side over where 2nd cat would be, mine were removed. Is this where the AC would leak or is it something else? the pad above the exhaust was soaked, I hope I don't get soaked having it fixed.. thanks all...

Sounds like condensation from the AC.

Check what the fluid is. If it's just water don't worry your car will never run out of it.

Let it drip onto a paper plate and then mop the plate with a white paper towel, then compare it to the fluids in your car, that will tell you what it is.

If it is something other than water such as - trans fluid, oil, coolant, brake fluid, ps fluid or gasoline then your car will run out of it.

thanks guys, its water for sure, but there was soo much of it, it was crazy.... will that much condensation rust out anything important in that area? should I maybe try to route it away from the midpipe? or let it ride as is...

The water expelled thru the condensate drain is in direct portion to the humidity of the outside air.

Leave it alone, don't reroute it or you may end up with soggy carpeting.
