2. Tried driving to Canada to tour STAP and hang out with friends, only to have my rear air suspension crap out near Erie, PA.

Freak thing, fixed by a dealer since I didn't bring a fullsize jack and I wasn't crawling under the car with the scissor jack. $200 and back on the road.
Made it there, had my car in front for the STAP group picture (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=71870).
Drove a 5.4L 5-speed Crown Vic.

Saw the Falls on my way back.

3. Saw two Marauders on the way that weren't in our group.
That's it.
Sounds awesome, sheeeyah! Nice Wood Bros. sticker

Where do you get one of these 5.4L 5 speed CV's? And how hard is it to put on blocks in your yard? Oh ya looked like a graet trip!

So who's 5.4L 5-speed CV? 2004_p71 owns it, and did the conversion himself.

That Vic is pretty badass! But your LS Premium looks just like my LS did when I bought it with 42,000 miles. It has almost 98,000 now. Anyway congrats on the new wheels and love the pics!

Congrats on the new-to-you Grand Marquis. The GMs are great road cars; smooth ride, reasonably easy on gas, and can easily rack up several hundred thousand miles without any problems. They do sometimes feel like a slug though!

This isn't my first Marquis...I had a 2002 GS that was just plain BEAUTIFUL. I should have kept it, but for some reason I got bit by the Dodge Magnum bug and pulled the trigger on an all-wheel drive R/T. When I found this one, I was actually car shopping with my mom. She didn't even buy anything. I had a pal run an OASIS on this one before I bought it (by the way it has 68k mi). Service record is clean. CARFAX shows it was a Hertz car for the first 10k :( but after a title search I found the car was indeed owned by an 81yr old man who gave it regular service at the local Ford dealer. Real clean underneath and inside!
It feels sluggish mostly because I haven't J-modded it yet; seems to pull normally and will wake up very nicely with a few basic bolt-ons. Really considering a T3650 swap on this though. Only thing that is irritating me is that the driver's seat has a slight click noise if I shift around in the seat or take a turn. I will figure it out, but for now it's a little irritating.
Even if I don't do anything, I'm just glad to be out of that Dodge. :mad2:

Nice combo, I have an 04 white CVPI so it's somewhat similar, but yours looks a lot better!

I thought you may have gotton another Marauder, but the that car looks nice... :)
I have the same annoying clicking noise in the drivers seat of my 04marauder. Let me know if you figure it outCheck the bolts into the floorpan. Has one worked loose? or torqued out early due to crossthreading? Just a guess...

The clicking is coming from the back of the seat.

Sounds like the springs. From the back of the seat, i.e. the backrest? I will check it out.
+1. I thought I had the only MM with a Wood Bros decal. I have one on each side.
Also have a #21 on the Grand Marquis in the same spot.
Got a picture of your WBR decal?
