Well all, I'm happy to report that my almost six-month-long journey is at an end. As many of you know from my previous update, I got my car back recently after having its accident damage repaired, but there were a few little issues left.

Well, I took the car back to the shop to get those resolved and got it back today. Turns out that all those little issues were really just one issue: a faulty door ajar switch in one of my new passenger doors. The car thought the door was always open and that's why the doors wouldn't stay locked when putting the car in gear, why the internal lights were taking a long time to turn off and, most importantly to me, why the air suspension was running so much. Fixing that door ajar switch solved all these problems.

I'm happy to report that my car is in excellent shape. No rattles or squeeks have been discovered yet and the new body parts and paint look really good. I'm so happy to have my baby back, it's like Christmas at the Horseman place today. :)

Only thing left to do is to get the swirl marks out of my clear coat that the detail shop put in, but I'm going to leave that until spring. No sense getting into that when the weather here is so terrible.

Anyway, just wanted to extend my thanks again to everybody here for your continued sympathy and support. Also to Steve Babcock who managed to figure out and fix the parts supply issue that held up my car repair for so long.

Today is a happy day!

Next time the car is running and someone opens a door and gets in listen closely and you will hear the air pump running to level the car out. made me crazy for a week before I figured it out.

What Heavy351 says is correct. When the car detects a door has been opened it goes through some type of load levelling procedure. Just the way it's programmed. So when my door adjar switch was stuck "open" the car was constantly running the compressor trying to adjust.

Fourth,
Thank you for keeping us updated on your car's progress. I know it must have been painful (i.e., 6 months) but, I wish you the very best with your `new' MM a second time!

Thanks all. I so look forward to my daily commutes to and from work now.

Also, of possible interest to some: I haven't heard my rear body mount squeek-pop since I got the car back. Hehe. Now all I need is a nice weekend with temperatures above 20 deg so I can install my DR rear sway bar.

Bet that Honda owner isn't saying the same, lately...
