OK everyone a will confess. I bought Mike's Blue. Barry Boffone, Shaijack, New Orleans, LA.
Mike and I have been discussing the sale for about 2 months and the first time we talked I told him I would like to adopt his Blue.
I flew to Chicago on Tuesday and Mike picked me up at the airport. He was driving the Blue.
We went to his house and completed the deal and he showed me a showroom condition MM. The Blue is class smooth and shining.
Mike is a great guy and friend. Sorry to see him sell it but he will have another one day.
I see he posted a picture of me leaving. Sorry Doom no burnouts. I did not want so see him crying so I only looked back once.
After I left Mikes I went to eat lunch with Motorhead 350 (Dom) we had Chicago Pizza great lunch. After a few pictures and the purchase of 2 rims and tires I headed for Lexington, KY Went to bed.
At Lexington Wednesday, I went to a horse tack shop and bought gifts for my two grand daughters, they ride Hunter/Jumpers. I was a Mounted Policeman for 25 years. I them went ot Kentucky Horse Park and took pictures and bought more stuff.
Lunch and off to Bowling Green, KY. You guessed it. The Corvette Musium. Took pictures and bought more stuff. Also took chance on Corvette C-6 raffle. I will sell it to get more MM's.
At 5 pm I left there and headed to New Orleans.
1600 miles and averaged 20.5 MPG Speed was 70-80 and a few times up to 100-110 did not push it, was still feeling out the Blue
Arrived New Orleans at 230 am Dom kept me up all night, talking to me.
When I woke up I washed the Blue and burned a tank of fuel around town.
People crowded around the Blue all day and I did get an offer of 25K for it
I want to thank Mike for allowing me to adopt his Blue. 113 of 328.
Mike and his wife are invited to New Orleans for a vacation and great eats anytime. I will let him drive the Blue also. Dom is also invited.
I do have pictures of the trip and will be posting them as soon as the disc is back. Tomorrow.
If you are concerned about care of the Blue, this is my second MM. I still own my original 300a Black.
So now I have two. My wife and grand son already claimed the Blue and wants us to drive both to Hershey. She is the boss.
A big thanks to Mike and remember it is adopted from him. Thanks for all the other net members that have shared their knowledge and please keep it up.
Future plans are collecting a set of all colors. I have the bug and time.

Barry,

It was great meeting you!! Very full of energy and knowledge of all kind of different stuff. As posted in a different post, it's a shame I wasn't able to spend some time with you (lunch) but had to get to work. Worked out well for ya because you got to enjoy some Chicago Style Pizza (Gino's East). Enjoy the ride and I know she's in good hands. Not sure why, but Rex was talking highly about you :D

Congratualtions on the purchase. Awesome BLUE!

I can't wait to see it.

When the weather turns cool we will have to meet at the track to show those Corvettes what a "Granny Church Car" can do!;)

ps I get an over ride from all the urologist due to all the Corvette owners who make an appointment with them becasue they can't find it after lining up against me at the track!

Thanks to Mike, Dom, Rex and all you good people.

Congrats! Yes those goons are a great group of guys. Mike will be okay, at least he got to keep the girl. He can always get another Marauder, but I'm pretty sure there is only one Trish. She can hold him when he cries himself to sleep at night. (Not because he sold his blue, he just tends to cry in bed :D)
And yes now you have show up at Louisville. :banana2:

Doh! I figured he'd throw that in to sweeten the deal! So that means he still has it.....

Trish - "Mike, sell that babe magnet!"
Mike - ":alone:....okay."
Trish, days later - "Why is this damn costume still here and where's the Marauder?!"
Mike - "Awwwwwwwwwwshhhhhi:mad2:!!!"

See the " (quote mark) to the right of the word quote? Click on the quote mark in each post and then for the last post selected, click on the word quote. That will do it for you!

:congrats: I thought it was you, based on your quiet comments in the car thread but I kept it to myself. ;)

thats not what I heard, I heard she cries everytime she says "I'm sure this happens to a lot of guys"

Barry, you must come to Louisville next year,

And Mike, just because you're Marauderless, does not mean your fine goldmember jock strap ass can't come, I'll even let you drive (pun intended)

You better not!

Mike, my hat's off to you for ensuring an education for your son and the sacrifice you just made.

I can't say I wouldn't do that for my little girl, who is now 11 1/2.

Taking the hit to put her thru a private school is my priority, and not cheap. But I do it, and so far so good.

You are THE man Mike!

+Infinity there Mike. It's not easy to sacrifice the things we love, but when it is done for the ones we love, it's pretty special. You may want to draw up a contract though. Once she's out of school and get's that first high paying gig, Another Marauder for the Old Man is a pretty good Christmas present, I'm just saying.

Yeah, the annual Blues Brothers Nationals is held in Louisville every year, coincidentally, it's been the same weekend and venue as the KY Regional the past four years, but that's okay; we let the other MM folks join in on the festivities as well... ;)
