:help:when I start my car and back out my garage (slight downhill grade on driveway) and brake the entire car vibrates and makes a loud noise. The caliper isnt sticking and rotors appear to be fine. This only occurs right after start up. When I put car in drive and accellerate forward there are no issues. Sound does not occur neither does vibrating after that. I cant figure it out and neither can shop. any help would be awesome

also. The car is a garage queen and only driven on weekends and has 58,854 miles on it. Still original rotors, pads, booster etc...

Sounds like the parking brake assembly which is behind the rotor. My pads fell apart after only 30K miles.

I'm also getting a vibration when I first start the car and back out of my apartment parking space. I had stopped thinking about it. I wonder if we are having the same problem, except my parking space is level.

I never used my parking brake and when I changed out my back rotors, the pad material fell to the floor. Its very common for them to fall apart. The pad material may be wedged in between the shoe and the rotor and that's whats your feeling and hearing.

Brake rotors can rust overnight. You said you didn't drive it everyday maybe you're just knocking the rust off.

I had that problem last week, turns out my e brake hardware spring snaped, and pads broke loose from the shoes! way to common
