That is probably the nicest Torino (of any sort) that I have seen in a long, long time. I would stay with the Torq-Thrusts and drive that thing every weekend!

I thought that too, but I could live with a slushbox in that ride...

That is one sweet ride! You gotta love the 1.5% NC sales tax back then as listed on the original bill of sale. $67.89 tax on $4,525.84!!! And somehow the country managed to run surpluses while funding the Cold War, the fiasco in Vietnam and a bunch of other mis-guided policy. Ok, enough of the political crap. Great car!

Sorry guys it's NOT a Torino, the '69 Cobras were FAIRLANES, just about everyone incorrectly calls them Torinos... Yea since I also have one, I'm a stickler for details...

That one is a real nice croozer, with the A/C option will have a 3.00 rear, may run a 14.7 quarter...

Did you see what he traded in on it? And how much they gave him for it?
Wonder how they came up with that figure...

My co-worker is selling her Torino. I think she said it was a 74 with the 400 cubic inch.

1 of 1! Damn!!!

But only because it was optioned with some *****ty wheel covers that aren't even on the car...

I sold a '69 Fairlane 500 HT(not fastback), to a friend that is optioned with the 428 Super Cobra Jet/ Drag Pack and 4-speed that is one of 15 and that includes the ones that were std Cobra Jets(the supers can no doubt be counted on one hand)... He's still waiting on the full Marti report but that car will go one of one or two in almost every category that can be dreamed up...

Really nice. My first car was a 69 Fairlane fastback with a smaller engine.

Incredible car!

But.....it's a time capsule, I couldn't spend that kind of money and then drive the wheels off of it.
Best for a 'hermetically sealed and trailered to the shows' collector.
(I have to mod everything that I buy....:o)

I'm with you on that Joe, no way could I drive it like it is meant to be.
I really don't want a car I would be afraid to drive in fear of messing it up.

I'd love to see your cars, I am a big Ranchero fan, 68s are my favorite.
Looked at a few when I had money to burn, but never pulled the trigger.
Also, ever heard of a Ford Durango?

Woof, if I had it the miles would certainly go up, Waaay up.
It's worth more to me going down the road.
Nice car.

Closer to Gary's camp on this one.... May not drive frequently, but would want to drive the wheels off her when I did. She is a beaut!:bows:
