They clearly stated at the end of the video that the marauder wasn't running well and needed a tune up.

I feel that my 5 Speed GM with 4.10s, exhaust, cone filter, and under drives is not as fast as my Marauder with a Zack Tune and CAI. Off the line, the GM will prevail but 0-80 Marauder wins.

Ford should've done a setup like the lightning has from the factory.
5.4 SOHC S/C.
Those can turn wicked fast times with relative ease for their size and weight.

That race looks about right.
A modded 5 speed CV should run 15 flat or a little quicker.
A bone stock Marauder is a mid 15 second car....a rare few were low 15-> high 14 second cars.

That's not much of a rolling start. Looks like they both settle into the same trap speed on the big end though. So................I would think gears + traction on the Marauder side would even things right out.
And Baaad GN, Ford made a pretty cool V6's in the 80's too! :)

Get a mach1 for that. My mach is at ~3100 race weight, all bolt-ons, n/a, low 12s in the 1/4... in arizona heat/altitude. I agree the marauder isn't gonna be a race platform no matter what you spend on it; I'm just glad that I can pass people on the freeway (compared to my old daily driver, a 90hp tdi jetta) and look cool doing it.

For the same reason that causes that poor sportsmanship, I think if I get a panther again I want to get a regular base-model Crown Victoria instead of another Marauder.
I still get to have all the fun of the big car old-school style and a nice-sounding V8 to boot, without having to prove anything anywhere like most people seem to think when they come across a Marauder.
Even so, you could make a pretty wicked dig-race machine out of a Vic if you know what you're doing. :P
