Strictly personal choices here.

1) LightScribe Direct Disc labeling. HP developed this, which will allow future CD and DVD burners to also burn labels on the other side of specialy coated discs. COOL!:)

2) Netgear MP101 wireless digital music player. This device scans the hard drive of your computer(s) and plays digital music stored there on your home stereo system, even though the computers are elsewhere in your house. Also plays streaming Internet radio, like Rhapsody (and comes with a 30 trial subscription). Only $199 retail, which means lower street prices. Comes with a wireless remote. COOOOOLLL:D

3) Autoxray EZ-Scan 6000. Better than me describe it, here's the promo from the Autoxray web site:

EZ-SCAN 6000
The next generation of automotive scanners have arrived. The AutoXray EZ-Scan is an OBD I and OBD II scanner which includes all OBD II protocols, including the newly released Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol, allowing for more capability and flexibility to manage the diagnostic process. The CAN protocol is currently being used in a variety of vehicles and will be the mandated protocol in all new vehicles by 2008. Staying current with the very latest in automotive scanning doesn't have to be a complex effort. The CAN-compliant EZ-Scan makes keeping up with the latest a simple matter. Just turn to AutoXray, of course.

The feds have had this technology for several years. Maximum effective range as I recall is about 500 feet, even through brick, concrete and glass.
