My 2003 Ranger Edge is over 200K, have to at least consider a replacement soon.
Since the Ranger is discontinued, not sure where to go from here.
(By the way, thinking about doing a 5.0 conversion on the Ranger...)
Any comments are appreciated, I drive about 350 miles a week for my job.

I love the Ranger but the domestic competitors blew the doors off it about ten or fifteen years ago.
Ford has got to get a handle on the small pickup segment.
Do you need the utility of a truck?

I just bought a 2002 F250 pickup from work 140,000+ miles for $800. Granted it has roll up windows ice cold ac and rubber floor. It's damn durable. I drive about 300 to 350 miles a week. It averages about 15-16 mpg. Good enough for me.

This is what I really want...http://www.ford.com.au/servlet/Satellite?c=DFYPage&cid=1248885252235&pagename=FOA%2Fcontroller&site=FOA
Yes, I need a truck but want a small one. Seems that segment in general has faded away...

The transit connect is pretty capable for what it is, i'd say on par with a 4cyl ranger, and gets better mileage to boot...

Ford has said a bunch of times that the world ranger won't come to the US... then they said it will come. Then they said it won't. God knows anymore. The argument was that it was too close to our F150 in size, not as small as the current ranger. Also, the new F150s seem to get pretty darn good mileage, pretty much blowing away any reason to get the ranger... Check out the pickuptrucks.com light duty work truck shootout for the mileage numbers.
