Hey guys, I'm not sure how many of you are fans of the Gran Tourismo Series on Playstation but on GTPlanet.net (I don't know how to make a link) they list the Impalla SS, Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor and the Mercury Marauder all as confirmed cars in the new Gran Tourismo 4 that is coming out this spring. I'm not sure about the rest of you but racing a Marauder online against the best cars in the world, or against the rest of you folks would be quite awesome.

Just type it out www.GTPlanet.net and it becomes an instant link in here.
This was discussed before...and I'm interested...but, I want it on my PC. I don't have (or want) a PS2...is it available in a PC version?

That's great news-I was just playing GT3 today and wondering if there would ever be a video racing game with a Marauder.

I was actually planning to buy a X-box, but now that i've heard that GT4 will have a Marauder, I might change my mind and get a Playstation instead..........

Yup, I'm eagerly awaiting GT4 so that I can race and mod a Marauder. I hope they give us the option to supercharge the car in the game.

Is it the Playstation, or Playstation 2 ?

PlayStation 2 only, as far as I know.

junehhan ---- I know the Marauder is appealing, but go with the XBox... it's hands down the best game console out there. Anyway, PS2 will soon be outdone by Sony's new project that should be out next christmas.

Gran Tourismo is the best driving game series ever, period. Gran Tourismo is still exclusive to PS1 and PS2. By the way, Grand Theft Auto series (GTA3/Vice City) is now also available for X-Box, and is much easier to drive on X-Box version than on PS2 version. For those of you still deciding on a platform--here are some tips (I have both):
Pros/cons of each platfrom:
X-Box:
1. In-game 5.1 surround sound/support for HDTV resolutions.
2. Internal hard disk drive (no need for memory cards).
3. Grand Theft Auto III/Vice City drives better than PS2 version.
4. Halo (best FPS ever).
5. Fewer titles.
6. Gran Tourismo not available on X-Box.
7. Virtually no Guncon (lightgun) games available for platform.
8. X-Box Live clearly superior to PS2 online gaming system.
Playstation 2:
1. No in-game 5.1 surround sound or support for HDTV resolutions.
2. No hard disk--requires memory cards.
3. Grand Theft Auto III/Vice City drives like crap.
4. Halo not available for Playstation 2.
5. Many more titles than X-Box.
6. Gran Tourismo series (best driving game ever).
7. Several Guncon (lightgun) games available for PS2.
8. No subscription fee required for PS2 online gaming system.

Thanks, you just reminded me why i've wanted the X-Box all this time. I actually can't wait for the X-Box 2 as Microsoft has signed a contract with IBM to have them supply them the CPU's for it. I am actually very curious to see what kind of cpu the x-box 2 will use..............

From a quick web search, both the PS3 and X-Box 2 aren't due for release until 2006 . . . but who knows? "Sony's new project" that I think Constable may have been referring to is called the "PSX" and is basically a PS2 in a bigger case with an integrated PVR (Tivo-like personal HDD video recorder) and DVD recorder--it's just been released in Japan and sells for about $700. There are no additional graphics/CPU capabilities in the PSX' game component--inside is a standard PS2 game machine.
Click here for Sony's press release on the PSX (http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/News/Press/200310/03-1007E/)

I got the PS2 because all I do with it is watch DVD's, and it was my understanding before I had the unit that it had a better video processor compared to the X-Box. I'm somewhat ready to ditch the Playstation and get a REAL DVD player. Onkyo's $900 something do everything player is what I have in mind. Ha, RIGHT! Eventually: )

I've been surfing that site, and I don't see anywhere that they say those cars will be in it. Where are you seeing that? Also, are they referring to Gran Turismo 4 (GT4), as Gran Turismo Concept or is that a different game? If you click on car list for Gran Turismo Concept, they show nothing about these cars you mentioned. I am a huge GT fan, and would love to drive a Marauder on GT!

Go to the forums section, there is a section just for the car lists on GT4, now there appears to be a listing of photos of several of the cars. I'm flippng through them now to see if I can find the Marauder. :D

From everything I have read there is not an official list out yet. All of the posted lists are speculation. I really hope it is included in the game...
