What Happened to Red? Is he D B Cooper?

I find it a real mystery that Red who was so active in assembling a data based on the Marauder, see the tire thread, just drops out.
Particularly right after installing an S/C with out any comments on it.
Can anyone solve it?
Is Red D B Cooper?
