Was at my FLAPS the other day borrowing tools to do my wheel bearings and seals (which went really well by the way. Thanks to everyone who posted on that subejct). The guy at the counter tells me that the ONLY option that you could get on a Marauder was a navigation system that almost no one got due to the price. He goes on to state that it was available in most high end crown vics and grand marquis. I wanted to argue with him but realized it was easier to just smile and leave.

I have never heard of such an option and if I had, it would most deffinately be in my car. My question is... is there any truth to what he said or was I fed a load of &$#@ straight from the horses behind?

The guy is full of crap. Navigation was NOT an option.

As far as I have EVER heard and read only options were trunk mounted 6 disc CD changer, moonroof and Trunk organizer. Please correct me if I am wrong, but that was it.

Your parts guy is full of crap. Like most people he knows nothing!

Heated seats were another factory option.

The only factory navigation unit for the panthers were only available on the 04-07 Lincoln Town Car. Although DOOM is the exception :D

Whiiiiiile we're on that subject, how does one go about installing a Lincoln nav system in a 'Rauder? It's a Ford so a good chunk of the wiring has to be the same. Im thinking a wiring diagram of both cars would almost do the trick.

Ive always wanted a CD/DVD/mp3/navigation system but I never liked the look of aftermarket.

All of the parts for the Town Car's Navigation system are obsolete. I would recommend getting a Pioneer navigation system.

There's a member here who has a Lincoln Nav system in his MM. Looks bad ass. I thought I remember him saying it was a huge pain in the rear to get it all hooked up correctly. The pics are here somewhere

I wouldn't mind one of those new phantasmagorical INSYNC or whatever they are called units to put in my Marauder. We have one in the new 5.0 Mustang and it is really neat. But there are a couple of extra buttons on the steering wheel that we do not have like phone.
