Nope. It was more like 6M after all the fees were paid. I was at the auction when it was sold, and stood within 3 feet of the car!!! It was awesome to see it.

Shelby built two of them. The other was sold to Bill Cosby. Cosby said the car scared the crap out of him and he sold it. The guy he sold it to killed himself in it later.

yea it sold for 5.5 million. i think it still holds the record for the highest car sold in a auction. and the guy that killed himself with the other one drove off a cliff into a lake or ocean. but it has been rebuilt and is a driver but not worth and type of money. cause its been rebuilt.
