After I was done having fun on 8th ave I was turning into the Lincoln Tunnel. I am stopped at a light and a man in a new Chrysler 300 stops and talks to me.

I agree that is no way to street race on 8th Ave. in NYC!

Traffic is too heavy and traffice cams are all over the place.

Plus there are usally Police on almost every block with radios.

FWIW, I smoked a 426 dual quad wedge in a Belvedere last week........that was not a race either....... for me.

I don't think shenanigans as stopping some douche from weaseling his way in when his lane ends, if you're clearly ahead, count as street racing... happens to me quite often on the street i turn on - left hand turn, 2 turning lanes, there's a quick turn into a target parking lot and then ~100 yards away the turn off for my residential street... I get in the left hand lane all the time, and every now and then I get some clown getting into the right hand lane just to try and pass me after the turn and cut me off in ~30 yards to jump 2 lanes into the target parking lot turning lane... I think that falls under the shenanigans category, not street racing...

Speaking of AMGs, I did have a vid from the track racing an SL65 in the mach1... I missed 3rd, and all you hear in the video is my loud mustang bouncing off the rev limiter - but from inside the car all you see is a silent big black merc blowing by me so bad that I thought it was gonna suck the mustang's headlights out of their sockets... He was going to beat me anyway, even if I didn't miss 3rd, mustang runs low 12s, he ran an 11.70. His launch wasn't that spectacular, but 700+ ftlbs of torque helped him catch up :lol:
