Jerry Leiber writer of Hound Dog (Not performed by ELVIS PRESLEY originally BTW!) Stand By Me, Yakety Yak, On Broadway, Poison Ivy and many other hits is dead. He co-wrote with someone else and his name slips my mind. I guess we will never hear Pop Songs quite like this again... I don't know why the article says Rock N' Roll. :rolleyes:

If you read the article... his song writing partner was Mike Stoller....

They did write many of the rock-n-roll standards.
