hello I'm new to marauder.net but not new to marauders it's a a rough story but don't judge me I was young and dumb at the time lol. soo.... my parents purchased there 03 mm in 04 as a dealer special with 20,000 on it. it ran good till the day I took it to street night at the drag strip they told me not to run it but how could I not. after the third pass it dies at the return lane and starts back up with a nock I was 16 at the time at terrified it turns out it was almost two quarts low on oil and I spun some bearings and wasted the crank. to say the least it was brutal standing in silence with my dad as we rebuilt the engine over the next two weeks. that was at 80,000 it ran well on the rebuild over the next few years up to 177,000 as it sits now with a dead cylinder and now is no longer the grocery getter and has sat since 09 it's mine. I know it's not the best was to procure a marauder but hey what would you do haha. so besides all that I get to pulls some heads off tomorrow and start a new.

well I'm no 100% on the problem yet so tomorrow I'll know alot more. I'm planing on a stage 1 port and polish and a valve job it should hopefully just have a bad seat or a burn valve and not major damage to the head but Im thinking of sending the heads to mmr modular mustang racing they clame to have the best port and polish in the world and they are located here in ca pluse they build some narly modulars. I'm up near redding

What did the MM run when you were 16 - before the knock?

I think after it's fixed you should do something nice for your Dad..;)

Welcome, I could see me doing that!
If my son took the Marauder to the track and melted her down, I hope I would react without attitude.
Way to man up!
Best of luck getting her back on the road! :banana2:
