Buddy of mine (local C.A.M member) had rear damage and it was replaced with an AFTERMARKET rear bumper cover.

So I know for a fact that they do exist! Don't know which company makes the aftermarket ones but they are out there!

And yes his bumper even had MARAUDER embossed on it!

From my understanding there is about 30 of each bumpers available. However, my source needs some time to varify it hasn't been scrapped already.

With this volume of interest in new bumpers, I wonder whether the fabricator would consider making bumpers (and rocker panel parts) in the mold of the Trilogy prototype car from around 2004-2005. Jerry Barnes tried to get them make off the fiberglass buck, but I think his source quoted him something like $2K per part. If the price comes down, maybe we can see these parts made after all. I don't have/can't find a picture, but I'm sure someone here has one to post.

So we could definitely get a group buy on this. How do we go about finding a middle man to run them?

What would it cost you think to refurbish them? I don't have any experience with that kind of molding.

If you guys are all looking for bumper covers surely you can chip in and find a shop that will make a mold of factory covers.

20 grand for molds of Trilogy covers is insane imo. I'd sooner fabricate my own than pay that much.

The molds for the OEM bumpers are around somewhere. It wouldn't take much arm twisting on the part of FORD to have the supplier run off another 200 or so sets. I hate it when parts become obsolete within ten years!

Good thing we had Redline jump in to make better than OEM mats.

That's a good question Eric...I also asked Steve at MV9 the same question about things like radiator hoses that we've been told are discontinued and he said he would look into it...

I also agree that a large expensive piece like a bumper mold doesn't just get thrown away (I hope). Ford's supplier MUST have them somewhere and if we could get a contact name and get Ford to agree to allow them to be made, I'd be in for 2 rears and a front.
