Just more hype about a halogen bulb. Better off going with HIDs which are brighter and will last a lot longer.

They said the same thing about the Silverstar Ultra bulbs and they were worse than the regular Silverstar headlight bulbs.

They would LAST a long time in my car!

I rarely drive at night. Unless Im on a road trip. And I only do those 2 maybe 3 times a year.

Many members have had good luck with HIDS from www.ddmtuning.com (http://www.ddmtuning.com) they say the 9007 35 watt 6000k is the way to go. Then H1 for the fogs. Fastblackmerc did a great write up with pics.

single low beam is 45 and high/low beam is 20 dollars more and if you do the fogs H10's are a better fit with some filling of a tab get with fastblackmerc on that

$45 is for a single beam kit. I always recommend the hi/low kit for the headlights cause if you hit the MFS and activate the high beams at night your lights will go out until the MFS is pulled back into low beam position plus you lose your "flash" flick.

I just modded Paul's H1 bulb holders for his HID foglight kit last week.

I just got my 2nd HID kit from DDM tuning for my Taurus. Had them in the headlights but something kept acting up after awhile and then I just put them in the foglights. Now I figured I needed the error code eliminators to make HIDs work on the headlights for the Taurus. Ordered the 8/25 and just got delivered today all the way from China. lol

Ultra FAIL... :shake:

Search me up on youtube (Ctrlraven) I have two videos on there I believe and look at my "new hid kit" thread on here, there should be some pics and maybe the videos as well. Its a night and day difference between regular bulbs and hid bulbs. Now granted our headlamp housing is not designed for hid lights and is deemed illegal as well by DOT, but if you take the time to re-aim the lights you wont blind people anymore than cars with factory hid projectors. I really don't like factory projectors for the simple fact that when going up a hill you can not see anything above the cut off line, that's the biggest complaint about them and the cost for replacement.

You can see more in front and to the sides with hid in the headlights and more on the sides if you have the foglights done as well. I drive a lot of long dark roads and highway at night which is prone for lots of deer all year round, I feel safer in knowing I can see more. At night when I drive my Taurus I will drive below the speed limit simply because I can not see far enough ahead and on the sides enough to go 50 mph (normal speed limit) in fear I will not see an animal in time to avoid if I even can. With hids I see more so there for I feel safer. Also K or color temp plays a big part, the higher the K the more color hue and less light output there is. 4300-4500k is consider mid-day direct sunlight brightness. Cars with factory hids have 4300k bulbs but can have different colored lenses to give off more of a blue, yellow, white, orange hue. I've had 6000k bulbs in my MM before and once I saw how more bright and pure white 5000k bulbs were I switched over and have been extremely happy plus itslooks classy on the car since every kid out there has some deep blue or purple colored ones.
