for those of you who still remember me, a few weeks ago(maybe even a month or two ) I posted on here some pictures of a marauder I was interested in. Well what do you know it sold! damn. I didnt think it would. Does anyone know of anybody who purchased a Marauder with over 100 thousand miles on it in Vacaville California? the asking price was $10,000. Here are pictures of it:

Wish I would have told the dealer to suggest the buyer to check out mercurymarauder.net. Oh well.

Why you wasting your time bro?

You didn't have the money and I doubt you are searching for this very car.

Keep saving then start looking again. I will admit I do the same thing when looking for an engine... Look what I found!!! No I don't have the money!!! Grrrrr

I was just curious if a member bought it, or the buyer became a member or somebody posted something about it and I didnt see. Also, me and my parents(boy am I young) have been discussing getting a cosigned loan. But yeah it sure is annoying seeing all these marauders but not having the money :bigcry:

too far away, and its almost 2 thousand more than my budget, and then i would have to tack on who knows what for shipping the car. And this is all assuming that I get a good loan :(

edit: and it still hasnt even met the reserve

Nope, he wants near 15k for it, you couldn't build it for that.

ohh no. He needs a STOCK one. I guess thats the mother in me. No supercharger! This is more him....considering he will more than likely wreck it. No offense, if you are 15 i'm guessing it will be your first car? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp39 84Q2em1438Q2el2648QQitemZ17069 1426170QQsspagenameZSTRKQ3aMEW AXQ3aIT

OUCH! i felt that from all the way over here! Yes it will be my first car,(I do have a ford ranger, but thats a joke.) anyways, I CANT afford to wreck it in the first place. theres also the fact that my dad would beat the dickens out of me  I have a strong appreciation for these cars. So you're right I would have no use for a supercharger anyways.

This wouldn't be a bad start if mileage isn't a concern. Runs enough to be DD, yet has enough "wrong" with it to make it a rolling project. That's kinda how mine was, except I started with 57K on the clock, not 217K. :P

Bobbybob...just a suggestion.

You obviously like the Marauder a lot, but lets look at finance in a realistic light. I do not know your current employment situation, but at 8 dollars an hour or less...a large loan is going to eat a very healthy chunk out of your...ahem...female funds. That's important in High School. Now, you like the Marauder...ever think about a Crown Victoria or a Grand Marquis? Nice thing about these cars is they are cheap...like 2-3k cheap which puts your payment MUCH lower as well as your insurance! I had a buddy in High School with a Crown Victoria P71 that did some little mustang mods to (headers, intake, superchips(all we had then) tuner, underdrive pulleys, ect) and I rather rode with him in the "cop car" than drive my 12 second Eclipse GSX...and this was RIGHT in the middle of the first "fast and furious" craze! ex cop cars are more fun than you can shake a stick at in high school! Run like tops, are cheap to operate, big enough for all your friends and sports equipment/beer, have that distinct "look" that is always good for laughs and stares from other drivers afraid you might be the real thing and have a little umph.

Might consider one of these, pay it off and make your credit look AWESOME, then move up to a Marauder or newer CV/GM when your out of high school.

Just a little advice I had given myself when I was around your age (little older) and then had to spend sophmore through senior year rebuilding my credit and paying on a car I didn't want anymore.

EDIT: Forgot to add, Crown Vics and Grand Marquis also have a front bench seat, which is good for scooting that hottie next to you and discussing extracurricular activities after the movies. Just listen to this...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3i7EFYk-_c (always wear your seat belt though!)

Not smoking anything but tires:burnout:. The reserve was hit, then the bid was retracted, look at Drewstangs thread on the car.

You should buy it, it's relisted with a lower reserve.
