So I decided it was time to replace my tired brakes with new drilled/slotted rotors and brake pads. I have only done the passenger side front at this time, but i noticed that the rotor now rubs the pads with the brakes not depressed. It rubs intermittently. Did I do something wrong or what can I do to fix this? Here is a link to the rotors that I purchased/installed. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Performance-Drilled-and-Slotted-Brake-Rotors-Front-Rear-/390340344473?pt=Motors_Car_Tru ck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AMercury|Model%3AMa rauder&hash=item5ae218fa99 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Performance-Drilled-and-Slotted-Brake-Rotors-Front-Rear-/390340344473?pt=Motors_Car_Tru ck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AMercury%7CModel%3A Marauder&hash=item5ae218fa99)
TIA for your help.

the pads probably just need to burn in a little and they will stop rubbing. is the sound you hear constant or does it pulse? i know when i put on slotted rotors the pads still catch the slots a tad even when not braking and make a pulsing sound

When you spin the wheel/rotor it rubs for half the time then it is fine the other time, as if the rotor is on there uneven. I tried to fix it a couple times but could not get it. Do you think I might have tightened the calipers/caliper bracket too much?

you cant tighten the bolts "too much" wont affect the braking it will just snap a bolt. hell i do brakes with a 1/2" impact all the time.
do you have a micrometer you can use? the rotors may be defective from the factory
