They took down the mod list because the car is going to be in a upcoming Mustang 5.0 magazine.

American Muscle are the owners of the car. They used parts that they sell and put them on the car. http://www.americanmuscle.com/2011-v6-project-car.html

Car has stock automatic (did change converter), stock block and stock heads.

At least the automatic Mustangs are holding up better than the 6 speed manuals.

I'd love to get a new V6 Stang for my DD, but Mommy says NO... Can you get trac loc for those? Need it here in the winter.

Traction Lok rear end is standard along with an 8.8 rear on the 2011-2012 V6 Stangs. A 3.31 rear end is available with the 6 speed manual.

Maybe this will help you pitch this to the wife.......

AND even the automatic can get 30 mpg! Even with the mods America Muscle reported only a 2-3 mpg loss and that was due to going to 3.73 gears. Even with the ProCharger on and 400rwhp on 5-6 psi it's getting high 20s mpg.

If you can hold off until 2015 you could try your luck with an EcoBoost model. ;)

I'm seriously thinking about getting one as a DD. I have too many dislikes than likes on my 08 Taurus AWD.

0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds and the quarter mile in 13.7 at 102.0 mph. The Hemi-powered 376-horse Dodge Challenger R/T isn't any quicker to 60 and is just a tenth ahead at the quarter. Moreover, the new 3.7 is nearly as quick as last year's V-8-powered GT, which put down 4.9 and 13.5 at 104.2.

Find what she loves and build your own personal hatred for them, then work out a compromise on both ends. ;)

Or just buy it and use the "just deal with it" defense. Either way you'll be able to drive one or be forced to live in one. :D

Pauls High Performance in Michigan has a 6 cylinder Mustang with a Vortec and spray that runs in the 10!:burnout: Stock block and heads.

I saw that some of the new Shelbys are going to be V-6 models too.

Although very neat for the "just 'cause" factor, I don't see the practical point of that. :(

That just doesn't even sound right. All the other Shelby's will make fun of them and make them park by dumpsters.

That's just what the Shelby GTs will do. The GT500's will take their gas money too.

Pontiac put a 4-cyl in the Firebird in the early '80's, too...that wasn't right then, either...

I so want to find a junkyard 3.7L V6 and figure out how to fit it, along with the 6 speed automatic, into my lil Ranger....:burnout:

More than double my 3.slow's horsepower and +5->7 mpg to boot!.....:bows:

You sure you haven't been married and divorced a couple times? :D

As for Joe Walsh's wish, I know a guy who put a old Mustang V8 5.0 into a small Toyota pickup a few years ago. He did nothing special to the exterior , what a sleeper. He did it on a whim, but then Danny can do about anything... He is an amazing old school mechanic. Actually fixes things, not just a part replacer.
