Are those projector headlights I see? Is that Oem or retrofit?

2nd Gen - 97 & 98 Marks came from the factory with HID's. It's too bad that nobody makes a replacement bulb for them anymore.

Now days, you either have to buy a used bulb, or buy a conversion kit to accept a popular currently in production HID bulb fitted in the existing headlight assembly from a non-OEM source.

Ford's solution was to sell a entire new halogen assembly and discard the HID's all together. The price is close to a grand for the halogen. Most people buy the non-OEM conversion kits from ebay for a couple hundred when their OEM bulbs burn out.

I still have the factory HID's on my car. :)
