Your never to drunk for Schritz!!:D My dad drank Schlitz when I was a kid. His favorite was a beer brewed in Trenton NJ, Black Horse Ale I think it was. No longer brewed as I understand.

I drank Rolling Rock til Budweiser bought it now I like Yuenglings products and I try micro-brews from time to time. Have to keep an eye out for the silly name beers as many of them are brewed by the Budweiser's of the world trying to capitalise on the small craft brewers.:beer:

The original Hamm's was established in 1865 when Theodore Hamm, a German (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germany) immigrant, inherited the Excelsior Brewery from his friend and business associate, A. F. Keller. Keller had constructed his brewery over artesian wells (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artesian_well) in a section of the Phalen Creek valley in Saint Paul, Minnesota (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Paul,_Minnesota), known as Swede Hollow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swede_Hollow). Hamm hired Christopher Figg to be his masterbrewer, and by the 1880s the T. Hamm Brewing Company was reckoned the second largest in Minnesota.
His son, William, and grandson, William Jr. inherited the operation in 1903. During Prohibition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prohibition_in_the_United_Stat es) the company survived by producing soft drinks and other food products, leaving it in a position to expand rapidly through acquisitions after the repeal of Prohibition in 1933. In 1968 the company was acquired by Heublein (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heublein), which sold it to Olympia Brewing Company (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olympia_Brewing_Company). Pabst then purchased Olympia along with Hamm's in 1983. Miller Brewing acquired the brand in 1999. Miller was later purchased by South African Breweries and the name changed to SABMiller. I drank Rolling Rock til Budweiser bought it now I like Yuenglings products and I try micro-brews from time to time. Have to keep an eye out for the silly name beers as many of them are brewed by the Budweiser's of the world trying to capitalise on the small craft brewers.:beer:

Cubs HAVE spent more than in the old days, but still suck right now. Since 1984, they have made it to the playoffs 6 times, which is good. From 1945 to 1984, they never made it even once. Some day they will win the World Series, and it will be very, very special.
