I recently spent several hours on the hunt for those avitar 'moving .gifs'....and I was even using a DSL line.

I found one site that offered free ones. Although they had an expansive list to choose from, I still cannot find anything cruise ship, diving, etc., related.

Every other site I went to offered junk. It seems these sites are harder to find than I imagined. Can anyone offer links to more sites that offer this type of graphic?

Go to www.alltheweb.com (http://www.alltheweb.com) (my preferred search engine over google, yahoo...anything) and type in "free avatars" and you'll get 382,107 Results for free (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=free) avatars (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=avatars)

Our brother "Marauder 57" has hit the nail on the head a number of times now, maybe he could cook something up for you? Meanwhile, I got mine from /Steve, (TripleTransAm) as a present I thank him for every time I post. No one ever caught my spirit here better.

Best place to find avatars is to visit other web forums. Just find you like and steal it. :)

What's up lately Sheriff? Are you trying to pi$$ people off? I 've enjoyed reading many of your posts, but lately it seems like you're just trying to stir up $h!t.

 what's up?

I was being quite serious guys. The best place to find avatars is other forums..... if you find one you like........... COPY IT AND USE IT! Everybody does it. And in 999,999 out of a 1,000,000 cases, the person you steal it from stole it himself in the first place.

My use of the word "steal" was humourous in nature, not antagonistic.

Thanks for the link Tod, that's what I was looking for. I was using yahoo, and old habit, I'll try another engine. Thanks to those who PM'd offering to make one. I will exhaust my search on the net first, then I may take you up on it.:bows:

And as Tod said before, PLEASE refrain from quoting the ridiculous posts, it's defeats the purpose of the 'ignore' list

Good, Haggis would want bagpipes.

Do you know why bagpipe players march? To get away from the sound.

Just thought I would ask.

...and what is wrong with bagpipes?

You mean to tell me that you would walk up to someone wearing a kilt, that you never met, and tell him to stop playing his bagpipes because you did't like the sound? :stupid: ...or you have bigger b*lls then alot of people.

No Haggis, I'm a peaceful freedom loving guy. I'd do what most sensible people would do when confronted by a man in a skirt attempting to revive an asmatic pig ... I'd notify the local hospitals about the escapee.

I can. It would sound like amplified rap. :)

One of my friends in college enjoyed playing the pipes early in the morning on this hill behind the college president's residence on campus.

Seems someone thought they should object to this, so they sicced campus security on him one morning. Little did they know ... security showed up all ready to bounce this poor piper and found the college president was out there too playing the drum.

Never underestimate the power of good pipes.

Many's the time I've stopped just to enjoy listening to the Nashville Bagpipe and Drum Corp practicing.
