For MV9 we added some classes that were never featured in a Marauderville or Carlisle.
Classes are as follows....
"Best in show" Supercharged 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
"Best in show" N/A 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
"Best in show" Non-Marauder
"Best engine compartment" Supercharged
"Best engine compartment" NA
"Best display"
"Best Interior"
"Best in show" 100K+ miles
"Best in show" Daily Driver
Also this year we have the "DJ Smoke Shack" award that will be chosen by our car show food caterer's young daughters on the day of the show and Steve Babcock himself will choose a car to win the "Steve Babcock" award.
In your goody bag you will receive a placard for your car, please include your mileage and check the box if your car is a daily driver to be sure you are included in the running for the awards.
Im sorry to announce that if someone has a cow that they plan on riding in or a milk truck that they plan on entering the show with, we had to eliminate the "dairy driver" class at the last minute.

Will people be eligible to win more than one class???
Like the way it was done at MV7 for example.

Its Carlisle rules, People choice voting with one car per class. The smoke shack and the Steve Babcock awards are up for grabs to anyone.

I would be Mooooooved to win this award!
I may be able to compete in the daily driver class but recommend a subclass for geriatric members over 70. This is due to our mid afternoon nap requirement, since we don't have as much time to devote to car prep. Also we may be taking our nap during the judging.
Thanks for your support.

Leave the trophy and the class in "as is". It'll be a collector's item. Misprints are always worth more in the final analysis ... like the stamp with the airplane printed upside down.
Personally, I plan on "milking" this category for all its worth. ;) Nobody ever reads the plates anyway.
But THIS guy is a shoo-in if he registers and shows up .....

The Inverted Jenny (also known as an Upside Down Jenny or Jenny Invert) is a United States postage stamp first issued on May 10, 1918 in which the image of the Curtiss JN-4 airplane in the center of the design was accidentally printed upside-down; it is probably the most famous error in American philately. Only one pane of 100 of the invert stamps was ever found, making this error one of the most prized in all philately. A center-line block catalogs for $600,000, which is probably low; a single inverted Jenny was sold at a Robert A. Siegel auction in November 2007 for US $977,500. In December 2007 a mint never hinged example was sold for $825,000. The broker of the sale said the buyer was a Wall Street executive who lost the auction the previous month. A block of four inverted Jennys was sold at a Robert A. Siegel auction in October 2005 for US $2.7 million.
Now back to our regularly scheduled discussion on "Dairy Driver" trophies.
