Sweet Vid!

Its not the height once you're up there as much as the horizontal speed that will put it into orbit, you are going fast enough to round the earths curvature, you will be constantly "falling" but not into the planet. The space shuttles are usually greater than 200 miles up and traveling at 17000+ MPH..something along the order of 8000 meters per second.
