So we have had very little rain this year....So the rain we got this weekend was a welcome sight....but there was some unexpeted tonadic activity to go along with it.

Thanks for posting that Mike. My Dad lives just across the street from the Valley-Hi Post Office and I called him and he's fine. He said he just heard thunder but slept thru it! Tornados are real rare as you know in south Texas (I remember one in the Medical Center maybe 20 years ago) and this was suprising. Anyway, Im glad we all got some rain finally though we need about 20 more days of rain to get out of the drought.

Jim, I forgot your Dad lives over there, otherwise I would have called you about it.
Luckily it was a very small one....very little dammage but still it was enough and no one was injured.
Yes, tornados are very rare here....this is the first one since 2007....that one was just south of downtown...
